Cathédrale Notre-Dame de l'Assomption (oldest ruins dating from 1063 with additional 12th century Gothic architecture) and the lights of the fair create an image of two very different worlds colliding.
I love traveling and sharing my experiences with my friends and family. I hope you enjoy the images & stories and learn a little something, too...

La foire à Rouen (At the fair!)
Mon appart!
Here are a few (haha) photos of my HUGE apartment in Fauville-en-caux. Below you will see

My entry hall (I call it the atrium), then, if you turn left,

It's the kitchen!
Follow the kitchen through the other door and into the living room,

Which leads into...

the yoga studio! (It's just an extension of the living room, but it mostly sits empty. Why not do yoga?)
Heading down the hall from the atrium (view here), on the immediate left you will find:

the "toilette" (always in it's own little room in France, separate from the bathroom, which comes later),

the bathroom,

and then, logically, the shower room!

At the end of the hall would be a bedroom, but it is apparently condemned...
I have two huge closets in the hall that you don't need to see because they are boring and empty.
Returning back down the hallway is the guest bedroom (a little sad at the moment, but if you come visit I will get a blow up mattress!)

Then into my bedroom!

I hope you enjoyed the tour. Come visit and see for youself!

A Line In The Sand
A Line In The Sand was a demonstration here in Jersey put on by the National Trust to protect the coastlines from building. Recently the Jersey government has been trying to sell off land to make money, but with no regard to the environmental and aesthetic aspects of the island. Several thousand Islanders came to the longest stretch of beach in Jersey, St Ouën--nearly 5 miles!, and stood side-by-side. The paper reported that over 7000 people showed up to the event (I don't think it was quite that many...)

Making Bread!
Where, exactly, is Jersey?
Jersey is an island in the English Channel (or La Manche, if you're French) and is located 14 miles from France. Find Brittany, the very western peninsula (yellow) and go north into the Channel to fine the Channel Islands, Jersey, Guernsey, Alderney, Sark, Herm, Jethou, Lihou and Brecqhou. I am moving, in a matter of 3 weeks, to a small town near Rouen which is in Normandy-- not too far from Jersey!

Italy 2008
Italy: if you haven't been, you need to go.
Peek-a-boo from Cinque Terra
Vineyards on the cliffs, still cultivated by hand
The Italians know what's up
Along the Cinque Terra trail
Portofino- so quaint and lovely
Quite a respite for the wealthy
Favorite haunt of Truman Capote and many others
MMM, gelato
Genoa's architechture
