Videy Island is just a short ferry ride off the coast of Reykjavík, and is well worth the reasonable (indeed, the only "deal" in Iceland!) boat ride and lovely few hours exploring the island. Columnar basalt, verdant pastures, rolling hills and a historic home surrounded by stunning fjords and a view of the city on the bay? Sign me up again.
