Carnac

I was super excited to finally visit Carnac. I've learned about it in school and taught about the site to my students but never had the opportunity to see it with my own eyes. Though I had imagined the dolmens and menhirs (giant stones, dolmens are the vertical stones, menhirs are the horizontal stones, usually placed on top of the dolmens (think: Stonehenge)) to be larger than they were, the sheer number of them was astounding. Some of the stones further down the way were taller than a house, but the house was more or less hiding them, so you don't see them here.
